Neil Patton and Dance Veritas are pleased to invite you to join them for a delightful evening of storytelling through solo piano music and dance. The evening will begin with award-winning composer, pianist, and recording artist Neil Patton as he performs music from his new album, Solitaire, and earlier releases. Neil and Dance Veritas will then present a unique collaboration of original solo piano and modern dance, entitled Between Shadow and Light. This is an inspirational piece that explores the beauty of finding hope in the midst of darkness, with original choreography set to music composed by Patton. Tickets available at the FEC Box Office or online, $20 Adults/$15 Students.

National Night Out

FLORENCE, OR On August 7, 2018 the Florence Police Department is hosting a National Night Out Event at Miller Park from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. National Night Out is a community-police event held throughout the United States and is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts. The Florence Police Department will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers, chips, and soft drinks at no cost to the public. There will be a variety of giant inflatable play structures and kids games with visits by police officers, public works, fire fighters, and paramedics with safety demonstrations, exhibits, and activities for all residents. Local youth will also be able to get coloring books, crayons, pencils, and other give-a-ways.
