The Florence Farmers’ Market is an opportunity for Florence locals and visitors alike to purchase healthy, locally-grown food directly from farmers. Products are sourced within an hours drive of Florence and come from organic and sustainable farms. Enjoy shopping along Old Town's beautiful boardwalk. Located at the intersection of Bay and Kingwood Streets in Old Town Florence.

September 3, 2022 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Hot Wing Eating Competition”

Can you take the heat?  Craig Hogan of Craig’s BBQ has been scheming all year to create the spiciest chicken wings on the West Coast.  Whoever eats the most wings wins cash, swag and bragging rights.  This event is open to the public.  To enter, complete a registration form and bring two non-expired canned goods to Darlings Marina by start time.  Spaces are limited to register ASAP.  Must be 18 to participate.

Yachats Farmers’ Market - Sundays @ 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, May 8 - October 23, 2022

The Yachats Farmers Market provides an ongoing source of fresh, locally grown produce, food products, and craft items. It includes locally grown and organic produce and plants, vendors of choice wild and exotic culinary mushrooms, and locally made natural crafts. After the market, stroll through town and visit our eclectic shops and galleries. Located at West 4th Street and Hwy 101.

September 1, 2022  @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm “Yachats Big Band Dance”

Listen, dance or both to the swingin’ sounds of the Yachats Big Band. Come out for this 20-piece band on the FIRST THURSDAY of each month from 7 pm to 9 pm. Admission fee: $5. Located at the Yachats Commons, 441 Hwy 101 North.

Newport

September 2, 2022 @ 5:00 P- 8:00 PM “National Night Out”

Barbeque with refreshments, snow cones and cotton candy for attendees. Free giveaways and a variety of swag items. Public safety personnel from around the county have been invited to participate. There will be police cars, fire trucks, life flight, animal services, emergency preparedness and a variety of vehicles for citizens to tour. Located at the Newport Armory, 541 SW Coast Hwy.

Come enjoy a tropical themed swim, complete with leis, tropical music and snow cones! Located at the Newport Aquatic Center, 225 SE Avery Street.

One of the signs of summer? Shop at the Dock is back! Oregon Sea Grant puts on a fantastic program each summer for those who want to learn how to buy their seafood directly off a boat from local fishermen. People interested in purchasing seafood should bring cash and a cooler with ice. Located at Port Dock 5, Please meet on the sidewalk- Look for the Sea Grant Logo.

September 19, 2022 @ 3:30-6:00 pm “Summer Splash Party”

Swimming and snacks at the Newport Aquatic Center! All attendees will receive a goodie bag (while supplies last). Admission fee is $6.40.  Located at the Newport Aquatic Center, 225 SE Avery Street.
