Very special couples have chosen the Heceta Lighthouse B&B as their wedding destination and we are happy that you are considering us for your special day. The 126-year-old Lighthouse and Keeper’s Home offer amazing views of the Oregon Coast and at the same time is a home where family and friends can feel comfortable and relaxed. Although every couple has been lured to Heceta Head for these reasons, each wedding we have experienced has been unique.  We appreciate each family’s diversity and look forward to joining in your celebration!

We have created our ceremony packages to fit the needs of couples who would like to arrive on the day of their wedding and have all their planning completed for them. Wedding packages can be customized for groups up to 150 people, and offered year round for groups of 30 or less. A catered reception can also be added to these packages.

The Details

Weekends in May through October require an agreement to hold the ceremony and catered reception with the whole house rented. A ceremony only option can be arranged Monday -Thursday 11:30-2:30 when our calendar permits.

Wedding Consulting

The Heceta Lighthouse B&B event coordinator will assist in the planning and set up on your wedding day. We provide prior services such as wedding consultations, as well as day-of services, such as a wedding day facilitator and assistance with set-up. We will provide resources and advice for each phase of your wedding planning.

Our vendor list offers an extensive and diverse group of professionals, all who have proven to be the best in the area. Whether you are looking for flowers, music or the perfect cake, this list will save you considerable time and offers the best local services. If it’s not on our list, we will help you find it.

Wedding and Reception Set Up

The Heceta Lighthouse B&B staff will be responsible for catering set up and clean up and will assist the wedding party with other details. Special decorations, flowers, and place settings are your personal touch and may be provided by family or outside vendors.

The Ceremony

There are several options for the location of your wedding ceremony at the Lightstation. You can choose to have your ceremony at the Keeper’s

House on the West Lawn, wrap around front porch, or in front of the historic Keepers’ Home where the sun sets each night behind the rocks and the lighthouse stands watch. Others find the parlors or elegant dining room in the Keeper’s House an intimate atmosphere to exchange vows. Special arrangements can be made with Oregon State Parks to have your ceremony at the beach below after Labor Day and before Memorial Weekend, and groups of ten people or less can choose a ceremony next to the Lighthouse. The Wedding Feast

Heceta Lighthouse B&B offers catering services for those interested in some of the finest cuisine to be found on the Oregon Coast. Head Chef and owner, Michelle Korgan, along with her staff, prepare all foods using only the most local, freshest ingredients handpicked from local farms and artisan purveyors. Michelle’s mix of regional influences, world traveling, and 25 years of cooking experience are yours to create a memorable meal.

For parties of 30 or less we can provide a plated, family style, or buffet meal. For guest lists that are more than 30 people we can provide either family style or buffet dinner options.

The Heceta Lighthouse B&B caters wedding receptions for up to 150 people—menus and cost vary depending upon the season and your menu choices. There is a catering minimum of $2000.00 for 30 people or less, and increases with additional guests and in peak season. Most of our catered events average $55-$70 per person. This minimum price includes all catering items for up to 30 guests. For parties of 31-150 all dishes and flatware must be rented, as well as other necessary rental items listed below, which will be arranged by Heceta Lighthouse B&B. All catering is done exclusively by the B&B on site, with the exception of wedding cakes, which are made and delivered by a variety of nearby specialty bakers and served by B&B catering staff.


Our wine list is regional, gathering the best varietals from Oregon, Washington and California. We can also special order most beer and wine. Please do not hesitate to request a beverage that is not on the list. We will be happy to try to find it for you. You are welcome to provide your own beer and wine for your event. Corkage fees are $20/ 750ml bottle of wine, $3/ 22oz beer and $2/ 12oz beer. The beverage minimum for 50 people or less is $500 and increases with additional people.

A 21% service charge on all catering and beverages will be applied.

Bed and Breakfast Rooms

Catered wedding and reception reservations require rental of the whole housem which includes 6 bed and breakfast rooms, 2 parlors, a dining room, and guest kitchen, on the evening of the wedding. We do not require a two night stay for a Saturday wedding but we do highly recommend renting at least a few of the rooms the night before so that you may have an early start on your wedding day. Ceremony only options between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm do not require rental of any rooms.The Keeper’s House can accommodate up to 15 guests for over night lodging. The Bed and Breakfast rates vary depending on season, day of week, and are based on double occupancy. Contact our event coordinator at to discuss rates and availability. Site Fee

A site fee is charged for any event to take place at Heceta Lighthouse B&B beyond hosting guests at the bed and breakfast. This fee is based on the number of guests attending and the type of wedding preferred. Site fees are already included in the Ceremony Packages.

Rental Necessities

All events with 31 or more guests must be held in a tent on the West Lawn. Any catered event with more than 30 guests will require rental of the items listed below, which we will arrange for you.

  • Sound system for Reception

Cancellation policy

Room Cancellation Policy: Lodging Fees are due at the time you make the reservation. If you cancel or change your room reservations at any time, there is a $50.00 fee per room. If you cancel or change your reservation within six months of your event, we will refund fees paid if we are able to re-rent the room.

Wedding Site Cancellation Policy: Fees are due at the time you make the reservation. If you cancel or change your wedding date the site/package fee is non-refundable.

Reception Rental Supplies and DJ services:  The wedding party agrees to pay 50% of the balance for rentals as a non-refundable deposit on all rental items to secure them for the rental date.  Payment in full is due 60 days before the event. If the wedding party cancels event or rentals for the event, the deposit will not be returned.  If the wedding party cancels individual items (i.e. DJ, Dance floor, stage) from the rentals list within 60 days of the event, a refund for those items will not be issued.

Catering Cancellation Policy: Catering Fees are due one month prior to the wedding date. If you cancel within one month of the event, the catering fees are not refundable.
